A sponsorship is personal help for destitute and vulnerable uncared for children who have found a new home in our association’s Mountain Gorilla Education Center (MGEC for short) or who live in the village of Kabagorozi on the fringes of Rwandan society. A sponsorship is something very special. Sponsorship means being here for children in need, making a contribution to giving these the security of a (large) family again, giving them a good education and preparing them for an independent life.

School sponsorships
Our primary goals are the creation of basic infrastructure and support for school and vocational training. Our work should help in the long term and sustainably. The most sustainable way to support children in Rwanda is to provide them with schooling and vocational training so that they can continue to make a living in the future.

Project sponsorships
With a project sponsorship, you support all children who benefit equally from our projects. A project sponsorship helps us to maintain our projects, such as the Mountain Gorilla Education Center (MGEC), the Kabagorozi project or the Kinigi project, and to continue our help on site. A regular donation gives us planning security and allows forward-looking and sustainable planning.

Higher education – sponsorship
Some of the young people we support strive for higher education, such as a university degree at a university or further education. A sponsorship that supports higher education helps them to realize their dream of studying and opens up new opportunities. Well educated people secure the future of Rwanda and ensure progress in the country.

Rwanda is one of the poorest countries in the world. That’s why it’s important that 100% of our help arrives in the country.
I (founder of Future4Kids – Otto Fischer) developed a special dismay about Rwanda when I traveled to Rwanda in 2007 and found myself there with enormous hopelessness confronted. This situation prompted me to sponsor several orphans and to get to know the country and its people better. Rwanda is a country where it is not a matter of course to have access to free education or just to have a “normal” childhood – a prerequisite for more equal opportunities and justice. For me as a sponsor, I see it as an obligation to create and maintain this equal opportunity. My work in Rwanda is driven like’s parents’ desire to give their children a better life and to give them a future and hope.
During my work in Rwanda, I realized that Rwanda also faces a global issue: it’s the extinction of species. This is particularly noteworthy because the last living mountain gorillas live in Rwanda. It has become a heart project for me to contribute to their protection.

Future For Kids in Rwanda is listed by the Ministry of Finance and has the registration number SO3098. All donations we receive are fully tax deductible and are used 100% for Future4Kids projects (in Austria! See your local information). The deductibility exists both either for private donations (via the income tax return or wage tax adjustment) as well as for company donations. Up to 10% of the profit can be deducted for donations (in Austria! See your local information).

As proof of deductibility, the receipt of payment with the registration number SO3098 is sufficient, but a donation receipt can also be issued if required (in Austria! See your local information). ONE-TIME DONATIONS
Your donation directly supports our projects in Rwanda. You can decide for yourself what your donation will be used for or you can leave the decision to us and we will use your support where it is most urgently needed.

SPONSORSHIPS
If you would like to support the children in our projects directly and in the long term, or our project in general, you can become a sponsor. You can either take on a project sponsorship, a school sponsorship or a sponsorship for higher education for one of our children and young people.

DONATIONS IN KIND
For example books in English, DVDs and used ones Laptops are welcome gifts for the children in our projects. On our annual trips to Rwanda, we take these gifts and distribute them equitably to children in need. We also appreciate donations in kind at our annual charity event “Nacht der Kinder” – “Night deducated to the childs”.
